Stamp Duty is a tax the government charges on buying property.
Stamp Duty Rates on on all Residential Property:
On and after 8 December 2010

Stamp duty on Non Residential Property
Rates of stamp duty on land/housing sites without residential buildings have not changed:

| €20,001 to €30,000 | 2% |
| €30,001 to €40,000 | 3% |
| €40,001 to €70,000 | 4% |

| €80,001 and over | 6% |
When is Stamp Duty paid?
Stamp duty becomes payable upon completion of your purchase and is normally payable yo your solicitor.
